Terms of Service
These terms cover your use of 2dto3D at 2dto3d.app, including the web app, the embeddable viewer, and the public API. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorised to do so.
1. What 2dto3D does
2dto3D turns a 2D image you upload into a 3D model. Your image is processed by a pipeline of third-party AI services, and the result is a 3D model file you can view, embed, and export in several formats. Generation typically takes around 5 minutes.
3D generation is probabilistic. We optimise for realism, but we cannot promise that any particular model will meet your expectations, match your source image exactly, or be fit for a specific purpose. Results vary with the quality and angle of the image you upload.
2. Your account
You sign in with Google or with a magic link sent to your email address. You are responsible for keeping access to that email account secure, because anyone who controls it can sign in as you. Tell us at support@2dto3d.app if you believe your account has been accessed by someone else.
You must be at least 16 years old to use 2dto3D. Give us an accurate email address and keep it current, since that is how we send account, billing, and generation notices.
3. What you may upload
You may only upload images you own or otherwise have the right to use. You are responsible for your uploads. Specifically, do not upload:
- images you do not have the rights to, including images taken from other sellers, brands, or photographers
- images of identifiable people without their consent
- content that is illegal, sexually explicit, hateful, or that depicts real violence
- content that infringes a trademark, copyright, or design right
We may remove content, suspend generation, or close an account that breaches this section. Where the breach is not serious and not repeated, we will contact you first.
4. Who owns what
You keep every right you already had in the images you upload. Uploading does not transfer ownership to us.
As between you and us, you own the 3D models generated from your images, including the exported files, and you may use them commercially. Note that AI-generated output may not attract copyright protection in some countries, which is a matter of law rather than something we can grant you.
To run the service, you grant us a limited licence to store, process, transmit, and display your images and models. That licence exists only so we can operate 2dto3D for you: send your image to our AI providers, store the files, render them in the viewer, and serve any share or embed link you create. It ends when the content is deleted.
We do not use your uploads or your models in our public gallery or marketing. The examples on this site are generated separately by us for that purpose. We do not train models on your content, and we do not sell it.
5. Sharing and embedding
Your models are private to your account by default. If you create a share link or use the embed snippet, that model becomes viewable by anyone who has the link, with no sign in required. Treat a share link as public.
6. Credits, prices, and payment
2dto3D is prepaid. You buy credits and spend them on generations and exports. The current rates are on the pricing page. Credits do not expire.
How credits are spent:
- credits are reserved when a generation starts
- they are charged when the model completes
- if the generation fails, the reserved credits are returned to your balance automatically
Payments are processed by Polar (Polar Software Inc.), which acts as merchant of record and handles the transaction and any applicable sales tax or VAT. We never see or store your card details. Your purchase is also subject to Polar's own terms.
Prices can change. A change never affects credits you have already bought: a balance is worth the same number of models after a price change as before it.
7. Refunds
Credits returned after a failed generation are automatic and need no request.
Your first purchase is fully refundable. If you are not happy with the models you get, email support@2dto3d.app within 14 days of that purchase and we refund it in full, including credits you have already spent. You keep any models you have already downloaded. This applies once per account, to the first order.
For later purchases, email the same address within 14 days. We will refund unused credits where the request is reasonable, and we look at partial cases individually rather than applying a blanket rule. Credits already spent on completed models are generally not refundable at that point, because the compute they paid for has been used. If you have a statutory right to a refund under your local consumer law, this section does not limit it.
8. The API and fair use
API keys are tied to your account. Keep them secret, and treat any request made with your key as made by you. Do not resell raw access to the API, run it in a way designed to circumvent credit costs, or use it to overload the service. We apply rate limits and may adjust them.
9. Availability
We do not offer a formal uptime guarantee. The pipeline depends on third-party AI providers, and an outage or change on their side can interrupt or delay generations. We may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service. If we discontinue the service entirely, we will give you reasonable notice so you can export your models, and we will refund unused credits.
10. Liability
The service is provided as is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost sales, or lost data. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
11. Ending your use
You can stop using 2dto3D at any time. To close your account and have your data deleted, email support@2dto3d.app. We may suspend or close an account that breaches section 3 or section 8, or that we are required to close by law.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top always reflects the current version. For material changes we will email account holders before the change takes effect. Continuing to use 2dto3D after that means you accept the updated terms.
13. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the law of the jurisdiction in which 2dto3D is established, and the courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, subject to any mandatory consumer protections in your own country. If you need the operating entity and jurisdiction confirmed in writing for a procurement or contract review, email support@2dto3d.app and we will send it.
Questions about these terms go to support@2dto3d.app. See also our privacy policy.
